Cyclepedia App Thames and Hudson heuristic Apple iTunes bicycles bikes iconic design Back in Issue 2 of Treadlie we showed you Cyclepedia: A Tour of Iconic Bicycle Designs published by Thames and Hudson. We wouldn't have thought it possible to better the sheer beauty of the way this book presented some of the most beautiful bikes ever designed. But we were wrong.

Cyclepedia is now available as an iPad app. Much more than just a digital rendition of the book this app has been beautifully designed in itself and includes additional photography to the original book. Cyclepedia presents a fully interactive collection of one hundred bicycles in stunning clarity and detail. The app allows 360 degree views and magnification of every elemnt to 20x.

As Stephen Fry says it is, "As mesmerisingly beautiful an iPad app as you could ever hope to see"

Check out some more screen shots here and here. Cyclepedia is available from the Apple App store.
